Healthy Soil, Healthy Food, Healthy PeopleJohn’s Farm, owned by John and Kris (Ratzlaff) Gosney, located in Major County, Oklahoma represents five generations of the Gosney/Ratzlaff family farming tradition. Our grandparents participated in the Oklahoma Land Run of 1893; some of the cultivated soil, that grows our wheat, and some of the grassland, that provides for our cattle, has been in our family for more than 100 years. We are honored and humbled to continue the tradition of Oklahoma family farming.
In 1995 we were challenged to view farming from the practices of our forefathers - organic. That year was the turning point which has culminated to the production of organic wheat and organic beef, certified by USDA program standards through the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture. We strongly believe we have been called to be stewards of the land; preserving the land, producing healthy plants and livestock, and providing organic products as another food source for health conscious people is our goal.
Farming techniques and animal raising practices are measured by crop and livestock environmentally friendly practices and procedures, sustainable systems, organic standards. John's Farm is certified organic by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture and produces Cattle Tracks Beef, Fairview's Best Organic Whole Wheat Flour, and Fairview's Best Organic Wheat Berries.

Rewarding family relationships and successful family business are the passions that motivate each of us to work diligently to ensure the grain raised and the cattle grown exemplify the purest nature has to offer. Each member of our family contributes to the farm in a unique manner - from tillage to sales. As children, John III, Andrea, and Lesli were active participants in various ag-related ventures. Our family expanded with the marriages of our daughters; the grandchildren, Madison, Halle, Kale, Nolton, Lincoln, are being exposed to the fields and feeding of cattle. From the youngest to the oldest, each one contributes to the family farm in a hands-on, real, organic way.
